The Student Council is a group of students elected by their peers to address issues of concern in our school and organize student events & activities. StuCo is focused on leadership and service. Each homeroom will have two representatives. Students must campaign for the position. The Executive is board is for eight grade students only— interested students must campaign and be elected through a school wide vote.
The Changemakers Club focuses on making a difference in our community and school. They host fundraising opportunities for our school and local organizations. There are also many organized volunteer opportunities throughout the school year.
The Help-A-Thon is a school-wide day of service where the RGA student body goes across Peoria to volunteer at more than 20 non-profit organizations.
Peoria Public Schools Foundation’s Horizons Club is an after school educational opportunity for middle school students in Reservoir Gifted Academy. The intent of the program is for students to investigate various industry and occupational possibilities, which will allow them to make more informed choices in middle school, high school class selection, and beyond.
This is an opportunity for 7th and 8th grade students to be a mentor to our incoming 5th grade students and new students. We host serval events throughout the school year for the students to interact and get to know one another.
The Chess Club focuses on learning the game of chess and also being a great competitor. This club also attends multiple chess competitions.
A school wide assignment in which students are required to write and submit an original story. The story will be graded by ELA teachers and submitted for district wide competition. Participation is required.
Participants will learn acting skills while preparing to perform in the school play / musical. There are backstage opportunities as well. Participants must try out for parts in the play / musical, however there is a role for everyone interested.
A unique opportunity to try something new. Students will choose from a list of classes presented by our teachers and outside community volunteers. The classes are both creative and informative.
Girls on the Run is a national non-profit organization. Their programming strengthens 3rd—8th grade girls’ social, emotional, physical and behavioral skills to successfully navigate life experiences
Students interested in trivia will love this club. Test your knowledge of math, history, science and random facts. Students must try-out and be selected for team. Two teams- JV / (5th & 6th), V / (7th & 8th).
The Speech Team is an opportunity for students to compete in competitive public speaking! Students prepare and refine speeches and perform speeches throughout the year.
The Band & Orchestra program focuses on the fundamentals of learning to play the instrument of your choice in a group setting. Our students also have several opportunities to perform outside of school., including concerts & basketball games.
This club inspires youth to experiment and grow their critical thinking, coding, and design skills through hands-on STEM learning and robotics. All skill levels are welcomed and needed, technical or non-technical.
Sharpen your math skills with this fun group of math enthusiasts. This group also attends a math competition
This unique club is for the Pokémon enthusiasts. Come have some fun while hunting for Pokémon and friends while walking off-campus with Mr. Merritt.
